Job Description Summary
Nationwide Realty Investors (NRI), the real estate development affiliate of Nationwide, is a nationally recognized developer of large, complex, mixed-use projects with developments and investments in office, retail, sports and entertainment venues, hospitality and residential properties.As a Senior Analyst and member of the accounting and finance team, you will be responsible for supporting construction and development invoicing, payment applications, contract administration and cost reporting processes. We’ll count on you for the daily review, entry, and processing of all payment applications and invoices from third party vendors. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Establishes optimal practices, policies, procedures for processing contracts, invoices, and other required project documentation. Coordinates with various staff or outside resources to resolve difficulties, discrepancies, or other matters as directed and needed.
Prepares contracts and task/change orders for contractors and consultants. Responsible for compiling and organizing contract documentation including approval signatures, insurance certificates, etc.
Reviews, as requested, for accuracy, documentation and completeness all contracts/invoices to be submitted for payment. Act as the primary liaison with the development and construction team for project cost reporting and budget tracking. Responsible for maintaining the development and accounting records needed for the coordination, preparation and submission of the various required reports both internally and externally.
Assist in month end and year end closing procedures.
Develops effective working relationships with third-party consultants, architects, contractors, material suppliers and other construction team members regarding project related documentation including proposals and task orders.
Completes reports or projects in an accurate manner including proper documentation. Includes preparation of quarterly executive reports for tenant improvement projects and project cost reconciliations for tenant bill-back.
Corresponds with various staff or outside sources concerning difficulties, discrepancies, or other matters as advised and needed.
Participates in development of changes to area(s) of responsibility that would enhance, improve, or facilitate job performance, processing or workflow.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Reports to Director, Accounting - Realty Investors.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree preferred.
Experience: Typically, three or more years of relevant experience in a business environment; construction and/or real estate industry experience preferred. Experience with MRI general ledger systems and /or Nexus Payables preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and general ledger impact. Knowledge of automated accounts payable system. Knowledge of AIA payment application process. High attention to detail. Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resource Business Partner.
