POSITION SUMMARY:
COTA's Finance Clerk performs responsible work in the deposit of COTA revenue and sorting and distribution of all interoffice, and outgoing mail. Assists with various accounting and recordkeeping functions.
Perform other duties in alignment with the COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision to Move Every Life Forward.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the daily preparation and deposit of all revenue collected by the organization, including cash deposited through armored car services;
- Prepares deposit records for the Revenue Administrator that are used in daily reconciling;
- Receives and deposits all Accounts Receivable mail;
- Distributes mail, including interoffice mail, among the organization's facilities. Sorts, weighs and stamps all outgoing mail. Prepares all mail for Post Office delivery;
- May deliver COTA correspondence as needed to Board members, attorneys, and others;
- Assists in other deliveries and pick-ups as needed; Maintains postage records and accounts with U.S. Postal Office, Postage By Phone, etc., ensuring adequate postage for all organizational mailings;
- Maintains necessary postal supplies and presents postal meter to post office for required inspections;
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
- Requires a valid Ohio driver's license and a good driving record.
