Location: Cleveland (Onsite – 4 days in office)

Your Impact
We're looking for an experienced Front End Engineering Manager to lead and grow our front end engineering team. In this role, you'll manage and grow a team of front end engineers who build and maintain multiple applications across our product portfolio. You'll be responsible for building a high-performing team culture, driving technical excellence, and ensuring successful delivery across numerous concurrent projects.
This is a leadership-focused role, and while day-to-day coding won't be your primary responsibility, you'll be ready to roll up your sleeves when needed. You'll remain deeply engaged in the technical work through code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making. You'll work closely with design, product, engineering teams to ship quality software that meets the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Do
People Leadership
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 front end engineers
- Own the full talent lifecycle: hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development
- Conduct regular 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and create growth plans for team members
- Build and maintain a collaborative, high-trust team culture grounded in candor and rigor
- Manage staffing and resource allocation across multiple applications and competing priorities
Technical Leadership
- Participate actively in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
- Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Guide the team on best practices, patterns, and technical standards
- Partner with the product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Collaborate with leaders across the organization to ensure seamless integration and delivery
- Stay current with front end technologies and evaluate new tools and approaches
Delivery & Operations
- Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across multiple applications
- Partner with product to ensure the team can deliver on priorities and manage expectations
- Identify and remove blockers that slow down the team
- Drive process improvements to increase team effectiveness and velocity
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across design, product, and engineering
What You'll Bring
Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a front end engineer – preferably building SaaS and/or B2B applications
- 1-5 years of experience leading or managing engineering teams
- Proven track record of building and developing high-performing engineering teams
- Experience managing competing priorities and resource allocation across multiple projects
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in React and/or other modern JavaScript frameworks
- Deep understanding of front end architecture, security, performance, and best practices
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, monitoring, and observability
- Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and guide architectural decisions
- Comfortable conducting thorough code reviews and providing constructive technical feedback
Leadership & Communication
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop engineers at various skill levels
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience hiring and building engineering teams
- Comfortable giving and receiving candid feedback
- Collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively across functions

Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position is $165,000 to $205,000 annually. This is a good faith estimate, and final compensation may vary based on experience and skills.
