Your Impact

We’re looking for a Data Conversion Analyst who enjoys digging into complex, real-world data and figuring out how things work.

In this role, you’ll work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to interpret raw data from legacy systems and help translate it into structured, meaningful information within CHAMP’s platform. Much of this data is not always clearly defined - you’ll play a key role in identifying patterns, understanding edge cases, and helping the organization make sense of it. Alongside this, you’ll support reporting, analytics, and data quality initiatives that help drive smarter decisions across the company.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving data puzzles, and is excited to learn by exploring complex datasets.

What You Bring

  • You enjoy working through unclear or ambiguous problems and finding logical answers
  • You are curious and like to understand the “why” behind how data behaves
  • You are comfortable learning by exploring data, not just following documentation
  • You want exposure to both business context and technical data work
  • You’re excited to contribute to a growing data function and learn from experienced team members

What You’ll Do

Core Focus: Data Understanding & Problem Solving

  • Work with raw DMV data from legacy systems and help convert it into structured formats within CHAMP
  • Investigate unclear or undocumented data fields to determine what they represent and how they should be used
  • Analyze ambiguous scenarios and form logical conclusions based on patterns and system behavior
  • Identify inconsistencies between systems and help resolve them through analysis and collaboration
  • Support data migration and validation efforts to ensure accuracy and alignment across systems
  • Document data mappings, assumptions, and decisions

Supporting Responsibilities: Analytics & Reporting

  • Write and optimize SǪL queries to explore and analyze data
  • Build reports and dashboards to support business and operational needs
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business teams to answer data questions

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. If you meet most of the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet every single one.

Requirements Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles
  • Expert proficiency in SǪL, including writing, optimizing, and reviewing complex queries across large-scale datasets
  • Experience applying statistical analysis, computational data techniques, or quantitative analytical methods to large and complex datasets
  • Familiarity with Python or willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to data transformation, migration, or system mapping
  • Experience working with large or messy datasets
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Metabase, Power BI)
