Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, invites applications for a Dean to lead its undergraduate and graduate programs within the Ross College of Business (RCOB). The Dean provides visionary academic and strategic leadership for one of the University’s cornerstone colleges, advancing programs that align with workforce needs and Franklin’s mission of access, relevance, and affordability in higher education. This position requires a regular on-campus presence to foster faculty engagement, student connection, and institutional collaboration.

The Dean promotes excellence in teaching, learning, and scholarship while driving innovation in curriculum design, accreditation, and student success. As a senior academic leader, the Dean oversees faculty and staff development, program quality, and enrollment growth, while strengthening partnerships with employers, community organizations, and other educational institutions to enhance student learning and career outcomes. The successful candidate will bring a balance of academic leadership and business acumen, demonstrating the ability to lead change, promote collaboration, and build strong internal and external relationships that advance the mission of the College and the University.

Qualified candidates must hold an earned doctorate in Business or a closely related field from an institutionally (formerly regionally) accredited university, with at least ten years of progressive higher education experience, including a minimum of five years supervising full-time faculty. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven record of strategic academic leadership, innovation in program development, and data-informed decision-making that drives institutional growth. Additional qualifications include experience with accreditation and compliance processes, budget management, and curriculum assessment; a demonstrated ability to engage with business and community partners; and a commitment to inclusive leadership, student-centered education, and workforce-aligned learning.
