Position Summary

The Office of the President is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented assistant to support daily operations and strategic initiatives of the university’s executive leadership. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into higher education administration while contributing to meaningful projects that impact the campus community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with general administrative tasks, may include assisting with:
  • Monitor and order office supplies, coordinating with vendors as needed
  • Assist with travel arrangements, expense reports, invoicing and purchase requisitions in accordance with university policies and procedures
  • Help maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
  • Assist with the scheduling, coordination, and preparation of meetings and events
  • Support planning and logistics for presidential engagements and university events
  • Conduct online research and compile data to support ongoing projects and decision-making processes
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior leadership
  • Perform other duties and assist with projects, as assigned to support the goals of the President’s Office

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet research
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Self-starter with a professional demeanor and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a time-sensitive environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills and Characteristics:

  • Prior administrative support experience

Additional Notes:

Ideal candidate must be able to work up to 19 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
