The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Power BI & Microsoft Fabric) is a trusted analytics partner to senior leaders, responsible for designing, delivering, and governing enterprise-grade analytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. This role provides technical leadership in semantic modeling, ensures data trust, and enables decision-making through clear, actionable insights.

Responsibilities
- Partner with senior and executive stakeholders to define KPIs, performance metrics, and analytical requirements that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of BI solutions, from requirements and data sourcing through semantic modeling, visualization, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise semantic models (Power BI datasets) that serve as the authoritative layer for executive and self-service analytics.
- Develop and own certified and promoted datasets aligned to governed Microsoft Fabric gold-layer data products.
- Apply advanced dimensional modeling principles (facts, dimensions, conformed metrics) to create scalable, reusable analytics models.
- Design and deliver executive dashboards, scorecards, and recurring management reports in Power BI.
- Query and model data from Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake) using advanced SQL and DAX.
- Establish and enforce Power BI and Fabric standards, including semantic modeling patterns, metric definitions, visualization guidelines, and performance optimization.
- Champion adoption of CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and Git-based version control for Power BI and semantic model assets.
- Lead data quality, reconciliation, and integrity validation across semantic models and downstream reports.
- Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and governance teams to ensure metric consistency, lineage, security, and certification.
- Administer Power BI and Fabric workspaces, including access controls, row-level security, and content lifecycle management.
- Enable governed self-service analytics through well-designed semantic models, reusable measures, and certified content.
- Mentor and coach BI analysts on semantic modeling, DAX, and enterprise BI best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to business users on metric interpretation, data literacy, and effective use of Power BI.
- Develop documentation, templates, and reusable modeling patterns to scale analytics delivery.
- Evaluate and adopt new Power BI and Fabric capabilities that improve semantic modeling, performance, and analytical depth.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience as a Data Analyst
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing technologies and Microsoft Fabric
- Strong knowledge of Power BI
- Experience with dimensional modelling
- Strong oral and written communication skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time management, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation and project management skills
- Strong ability to summarize large quantities of information into actionable insight
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects in a timely manner
- Strong ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
