Overview
The Agile Process Manager 3 serves as a servant leader to an agile team to ensure clear communication and goal alignment across the team and the business in support of their goals. The role of the APM is to understand, implement, instruct, and enforce agile practices while removing impediments, promoting continuous improvement, and helping the team meet their goals and objectives. The APM does this by leading various sprint ceremonies and meetings that support idea generation, decision-making, planning, and continuous improvement around sprint processes and objectives, while analyzing sprint metrics and an understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Guide teams to understand and follow basic Agile principles and techniques and participate and assist in leading continuous learning events.
- Plan and facilitate small to large meetings for the purpose of decision making, idea generation, planning, continuous improvement, problem solving and alignment

- Guide teams and/or programs in self-organization, optimizing flow of value, and facilitate collaboration across teams and program boundaries
- Ensure identification and removal of impediments using a network of peer relationships and formal channels, escalating when necessary. Reduce team distractions and outside interruptions.
- Collaborate and proactively support other team and/or program leaders and stakeholders on backlog management, team performance and the delivery of business value
- Promote continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle, leveraging metrics to identify and drive intentional change
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to improve transparency
- Collaborate with teams and/or programs, leadership and stakeholders to identify and eliminate patterns of distraction and outside interruptions
- Lead continuous learning events and provide support to other community members. Connected internally and externally; contribute to overall learning culture through knowledge sharing
- Collaborate to identify and manage dependencies between teams and/or programs
- Mentor, coach and train other team members
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience as an Agile practitioner
- Second level Scrum Master certification (PSM II, A-CSM)
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
- Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Strong conflict management, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate at the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and forthrightness
- Demonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologies
- Sharp, fast learner with intrinsic curiosity
- Strong business and technology acumen
- Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate and mobilize team members and business partners
- Strong competence in team facilitation
- Ability to utilize servant leader mindset - open-minded, listens, empathizes, influences without formal authority, thinks beyond day-to-day activities
- Ability to teach software methodology concepts and apply practices in a context-sensitive manner
- Must be a self-starter, facilitator, and negotiator
- Up to 5% travel time required
