Job Description
The Industry Marketing Manager 4 is responsible for leading the development and execution of integrated marketing plans that drive pipeline and revenue growth for a given go-to-market segment or plan area. This role focuses on building comprehensive go-to-market strategies establishing audience-specific thought-leadership initiatives and ensuring alignment with business objectives through close collaboration with key stakeholders across sales and marketing. The Industry Marketing Manager 4 collaborates with sales leaders field marketing portfolio marketing and integrated marketing to plan and execute go-to-market and plan area campaigns.
Responsibilities
Lead the creation and management of the overall marketing plan and strategy for a given GTM segment or plan area setting key goals objectives and plan area KPIs to measure success
Identify and integrate insights and priorities from key stakeholders and inputs from GTM strategy team to ensure alignment with business objectives
Establish and evangelize audience-specific and/or industry-specific thought-leadership strategies tying into the brand and horizontal thought-leadership strategy
Identify and execute flagship strategic industry events to drive awareness and generate demand partnering with field marketing on the pre- and post- event sales outreach orchestration
Partner with field marketing and sales leaders to develop targeted prospect/ customer high-touch ancillary events that support the overall go to market strategy.
Collaborate with campaign strategy teams to review and approve the content mix and tactics ensuring alignment with business goals and maximizing impact
Own creation of comprehensive campaign briefs in partnership with the portfolio marketing team by defining objectives target audiences messaging and creative requirements for guiding strategy and execution
Partner with international regional marketers to ensure marketing plans and campaigns drive global engagement and demand
Partner with external vendors agencies and industry partners to amplify the reach and impact of global programs
Operate as innovative thought leader contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends
Own the health of the demand funnel ensuring lead generation KPIs are met and optimize strategies as needed
Operate as a trusted advisor to business leaders and sales develop and maintain strategic working relationships and provide regular analysis on marketing pipeline contribution
Monitor spend ensure key milestones are met and provide necessary readouts of campaign elements to key stakeholders
Mentor coach train and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on abilities of team
Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
10 years in a marketing programs equivalent role with sales interaction
Experience in marketing/marketing communications
Experience developing marketing plans and budgets
Demonstrated successful experience in composing and presenting basic information in group settings
Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with executive presence
Excellent organizational multi-tasking and time management skills
Excellent collaboration skills applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent leadership sound judgement and business acumen skills
Excellent facilitation and project management skill

Responsibilities
- Operate as a trusted advisor to business leaders and sales; lead the development, execution and management of the most complex and high risk marketing strategies and campaign themes
- Partner with other marketing and sales areas, such as demand creation, sales enablement and market intelligence, to ensure effective execution of campaign programs
- Develop and manage marketing plan and budget in support of sales goals
- Own and promote the marketing plan; this includes, but is not limited to: market analysis, budget management, competitive analysis, segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, content plan, awareness, demand generation, product launch management, & customer marketing
- Forecast, measure, analyze and report on the impact of programs; use this information to develop and lead recommendations and program modifications
- Research, design and manage live events that support the marketing campaign theme; ensure there is a cohesive pre-event, at-event and post-event strategy
- Evaluate, select and manage vendors that contribute to local demand creation programs, including event venues and services, digital marketing agencies, direct mail providers and list brokers
- Educate sales on new and planned global, regional and local marketing activities
- Develop value-based social media plans in partnership with Corporate Communications team
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge library of marketplace trends, marketing content and messaging, value propositions, customers, partner network and company software solutions as relevant to the sales and marketing of solutions
- Operate as an innovative thought leader among the team; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department
- Mentor, coach and train other team members
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or industry-related field
- Significant marketing experience in high-tech business-to-business environment
- Experience developing marketing plans and budgets
- Expertise in preparing, presenting, advocating and defending innovative ideas in group settings within cross-functional teams
- Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
- Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Excellent collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
- Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects in a timely manner with minimal oversight
- Keen attention to detail
- Up to 40% travel time required
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
