Starting Hourly Pay: $24.97 per hour
What does a Residential Care Supervisor 1 do?
A Residential Care Supervisor 1 provides supervision to our Therapeutic Program Workers (TPWs) at our Developmental Centers (DCs).
Key Residential Care Supervisor 1 Tasks:
- Supervise & lead direct care staff (Therapeutic Program Workers) across assigned residential areas & shifts
- Manage daily staffing operations including scheduling, overtime, leave approvals, & coverage needs
- Coach, train, & evaluate staff; provide feedback & initiate corrective action when needed
- Assign daily duties, coordinate transportation, & ensure coverage for appointments, outings, & activities
- Ensure implementation of Individual Program Plans (PCPs) & behavioral support plans through active supervision & rounding
- Promote active treatment & ensure quality services are delivered consistently
- Monitor documentation, incident reports, & staff records for accuracy & compliance
- Investigate incidents, workplace injuries, policy violations, & unusual incidents; complete required reports
- Address employee relations matters at the first-step level, including resolving grievances
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid (ICF/IID) standards, agency policies, & labor agreements
- Maintain inventory, approve purchases, & ensure supplies & equipment are available
- Conduct environmental & safety checks; submit work orders as needed
Qualifications
24 months training or 24 months experience in providing care to patients and/or in participating in development and/or carrying out of patients' habilitation plans and preferably for those who had developmental disabilities or mental disability, and in implementing and carrying out same.

May be exposed to unpredictable resident behavior. Developmental centers operate 24/7, year-round.
- The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Rule 5123-2-02, “Background Investigations for Employment,” outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
