Job Description

What we need:
We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for our Assistant Wildlife Management Supervisor position within the Division of Wildlife headquartered at the District 4 Office located at 360 East State St. Athens, Ohio 45701. What you will do…

  • Assist in the direction and implementation of wildlife programs and projects on wildlife areas
  • Identify and develop habitat management plans to benefit wildlife
  • Develops contracts and services for both public and private land management
  • Supervise Wildlife Management Consultants
  • Collect biological data for wildlife research
  • May be expected to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Starting hourly pay of $29.34/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 3.5 years of service, with an end salary of $36.65/hr

  • There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates Exempt Employees E1 | Department of Administrative Services.

Qualifications

-Completion of undergraduate core program in wildlife management or related field of study AND 12 mos. exp. in wildlife management AND valid driver's license.

-Or 24 mos. exp. as Wildlife Management Consultant, 2285X or similar position responsible for coordinating wildlife management activities in assigned area AND valid driver's license.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
