2026 Summer Laborer (Licking County)

What You Will Do:

  • Flag/traffic control for highway maintenance

  • Drive pickup truck to set out/pick up signs & follow mowing crew

  • Roadside litter pickup, clean &/or wash vehicles & equipment

  • Clean/hose down garage areas. Use weed eater to trim around buildings, fences, etc.

  • Help clean up roadsides when work crews are cutting brush/tree trimming

  • Answer phone &/or radio when clerk is unavailable

Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. In accordance with Section 124.11 (B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.

  • This position is overtime eligible based FLSA Standards.
