What We Need YOU To Do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental supervisor in the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC), working at our Northwest District Office (NWDO) in Wood County.

We are looking for an energetic, goal-focused, and determined person (ahem, that’s you) to help our DAPC team in Northwest Ohio!
As an environmental supervisor, you will direct, plan, coordinate, and participate in the various NWDO DAPC activities like the preparation of air pollution control permits to install and operate, inspection of institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities, and the preparation of inspection reports and follow up correspondence. You will research air pollution control technologies, as well as develop and maintain the Ohio EPA emission inventory system.
You will develop, coordinate, and implement permitting programs within DAPC, NWDO, and supervise engineering and scientific personnel. You are going to direct personnel and provide technical assistance on the development of enforcement action requests – and testify at prehearing conferences, adjudication hearings, and civil court proceedings.

Qualifications
-
5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in position involving engineering or chemistry, physics, biology &/or other comparable science field &/or mathematics &/or history &/or archaeology (i.e., latter two subject areas pertain only to Department of Transportation) evaluating & approving complex engineering design plans, conducting most sensitive environmental surveillance activities &/or environmental pollution compliance monitoring inspections, investigating complex public health &/or environmental pollution problems, initiating complex enforcement actions, or assisting in planning, developing & maintaining specific environmental projects & programs; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. as lead worker.
OR 12 mos. exp. as Environmental Specialist 2, 85862.
OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
Note: Training &/or experience must correspond to environmental area to be assigned. Positions in Environmental Protection Agency's solid waste program, excluding those in solid waste planning unit, also require valid Ohio certificate of registration as sanitarian or valid Ohio certificate as sanitarian-in-training.
