What does a Residential Care Supervisor 2 do?

  • Oversees Campus Support Office (CSO)

  • Trains staff for quarterly house meetings

  • Supervises &/or monitors supervision of Residential Care Supervisors and Therapeutic Program Workers (direct care) for residential units

  • Ensures levels of supervision are met through scheduling

  • Approves/disapproves leave requests, makes assignments, oversees & monitors KRONOS timekeeping system.

  • Prepares operational and programmatic reports

Qualifications

24 months training or 24 months' experience in providing direct care to patients &/or in participating in development &/or carrying out of habilitation/treatment plans for patients who had either developmental disabilities or mental disability, 6 months of required training &/or experience should have been as ward charge or team leader with responsibility for ensuring other workers performed their duties & ensuring safety of sanitation of assigned work area.

Supplemental Information

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to persons who display unpredictable & sometimes aggressive behavior; may be required to work 2nd or 3rd shift & weekends; may work variable schedule.

  • Hourly wage will be paid at step 1, unless otherwise specified by collective bargaining agreement or rules outlined in the ORC/OAC.
  • The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Rule 5123-2-02, “Background Investigations for Employment,” outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
  • The final applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to the appointment to test for illegal drug use. An applicant with a positive test result will not be offered employment.
