Job Description Summary

Nationwide Realty Investors, the real estate development affiliate of Nationwide, owns and manages a portfolio of communities in the city’s premier locations (Arena District/Grandview Yard). As the Assistant Property Manager, you'll provide administrative support and leadership to the on-site team while maintaining a focus on sales and customer service.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as Manager on Duty in absence of the on-site Property Manager.

  • Cultivates prospect and resident relationships through process improvement initiatives.

  • Maintains a significant presence on the sales floor as an effective sales associate and demonstrates understanding of product in the market.

  • Assists in ensuring team is in compliance with company policies in addition to all fair housing laws, state tenant/landlord laws and all regulations; ensures team acts accordingly.

  • Understands the operations within the physical asset inclusive of call boxes, key fobs and other security systems.

  • Leads collection efforts for current, prospective and past residents.

  • Crafts and distributes written correspondence that is professional and well timed, including renewals and new lease documents.

  • Processes move-ins and move-outs to ensure accuracy of resident

  • Provides support in the training efforts and on boarding of the on-site team.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Senior Property Manager or Property Manager

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Licenses/Designation/Certification: Apartment management designations preferred.

Experience: One or more years in multi-family property management preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A strong understanding of the fair housing laws. A proven track record of both sales and a high level of attention to detail when completing paperwork. The ability to effectively communicate, problem solve and manage people.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (Non Exempt)

Working Conditions: Normal office environment and some weekends.
