This includes relationship management, management reporting, risk assessment and mitigation, investment modification, investment disposition, project management and highly detailed financial and investment analysis.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Having an intermediate understanding of asset class, works with limited guidance and oversight from more senior team members.
Maintain partner relationships with syndicators, brokers, developers, and attorneys for the tax credit platform to drive positive investment performance
Assess project risks and opportunities and work with investment partners to price investment opportunities and creatively structure deals to reduce risk and increase profitability
Perform financial and operational analysis including the evaluation of financial models, due diligence materials and underwriting of investments
Researching and evaluating market data
Preparation of investment committee packages; underwriting the development sponsor, development proforma, development financing, real estate, market, construction risks, and tax compliance.
Interface with team members, management, legal, syndicators, brokers and developers in moving transactions to investment close
Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to ensure optimal performance of the investment portfolio
Prepare and present investment portfolio performance presentations to senior management.
Conduct research and analysis on market and industry trends

Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; course work in Real Estate and/or Finance is preferred.
Experience: 0 to 6 years of investment experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
Self-motivated business professional with a strong attention to detail
High drive for results with the ability to exercise independent judgement
Intellectual curiosity, interest in and enthusiasm for real estate investing
Ability to understand complex investment structures
Strong computational and analytical skills
A diverse thinking, team-oriented individual
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creativity and critical thinking skills to handle a variety of challenges
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a time sensitive manner
Proficiency in Excel required
Investment management, asset management, project finance, originations, financial modeling and credit analysis, and/or related business experience.
Knowledge and experience of investment management software and/or experience within the real estate investment industry is preferred
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
