Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly project reporting
  • Manage the collection & distribution of funds for various projects, including analyzing financial data to ensure entries are correctly allocated to the appropriate accounts and projects
  • Develop and maintain quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
  • Document and improve policies and procedures related to job scope; recommend and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage relationships with third-parties responsible for taxation and financial reporting/analyses
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement financial strategies

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and Excel skills required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description Summary

The work of our asset management professionals supports our nationally recognized, mixed-use developments in office, retail, sports, entertainment, hospitality, and residential properties. As an Asset Management Specialist, you’ll conduct and document complex financial and business-related analyses to support the company’s real estate development projects. You’ll also prepare forecasts and trends analyses to support financial projects and projections. We’ll count on you to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting & project management and lead special financial and business-related studies.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly reporting for moderately complex land public infrastructure portfolios.

  • Manages the collection & distribution of funds for various projects, including public infrastructure projects.

  • Oversees draw process to ensure expenditures are authorized and the funding of the public infrastructure projects are in accordance with approved budgets.

  • Develops and maintains quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for moderate to complex public infrastructure portfolios.

  • Performs financial analyses, and develops management and variance reporting tools to monitor and analyze investment(s); recommends action plans based on analysis.

  • Recommends new financial analysis techniques and measurements for internal reporting purposes of public infrastructure financing. Develops efficient analytical and planning models that capture key financial data. Performs in-depth financial analysis including reviews of the impact of variances from plan.

  • Prepares and presents financial data to be shared with external agencies and other entities. Analyzes financial results on a quarterly and annual basis.

  • Leads economic research, special financial and business-related studies and projects.

  • Documents and improves policies and procedures related to job scope; recommends and implements enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Provides functional advice or training to less experienced financial analysts and project team members.

  • May serve in an associate lead/supervisory role.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director. May manage relationships with third-parties responsible for taxation, financial reporting/analyses, and distributions of funds towards repayment of bond and recoverable assets.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate degree with a concentration in accounting or finance.

License/Certification/Designation: Pursuit of CPA or other related technical designation desirable.

Experience: Typically, three to five years’ experience in finance, accounting, or similar field.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: In-depth knowledge of statistical/financial analysis, financial statement. Understanding of general financial, accounting, and project management terms and concepts. Diligent organizational and record keeping skills are needed for successful analysis and process tracking. Must be an independent and creative thinker, self-starter, proactive and demonstrate an ability to learn on the fly. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills including proven leadership skills with the ability to work with cross organizational team members and third-party managers. Must have the ability to make decisions and recommendations on process strategies and demonstrated ability to work with cross organizational team members and third-party managers in the delivery of project solutions. Ability to independently perform financial analyses. Advanced Excel skills required.
