Responsibilities:

Technical lead in the design and development of modifications and enhancements for our Nationwide Brokerage Solutions business applications. Develop, design and implement Rest Application Programming Interfaces using Springboot and APIGEE to interface with Velocity Agency Management system. Implement code to use Velocity Agency Management SDK for functionalities to support NBS customers. Utilize tools such as AXE monitor and NVDA to implement accessible solutions. Analyze and validate moderately complex system requirements and existing business processes and information systems. Develop specifications and program moderately complex technical modules, applications, prototypes and computer programs. Evaluate and provide technical solutions to application development problems. Lead all aspects of application programming and development on large-scale data structures and databases for file design, update, storage and retrieval. Develop applications according to Software Development Life Cycle methods including Agile and Waterfall. Code, test, debug, document, and implement moderately complex software applications according to standards. Serve in a lead capacity in migrating and maintaining applications in an Amazon Web Service (AWS) cloud platform. Collaborate with business consultants and requirements analysts to understand and support requirements analysis and feasibility studies. Implement Micro Services using Springboot to deliver and integrate data to front-end application functionality. Hybrid work from home policy may apply. Must be in office 2 days per week.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and five years of experience as a full stack Java programmer developer using Angular, Java, Springboot, SQL, and Ruby. Experience must include four years developing, designing, and implementing Webservices and APIs using APIGEE, SOA, SOAP and RESTful, implementing User Authentication Services using ID Access Management (IAM) and PING, setting up Code Management using Jenkins, GitHub, Urban Code, and Deploy, and Continuous Code Integration using Trunk and Branching techniques and two years with business process environment for Velocity (Agency Management System) using SOAP and REST Webservices with Oracle Database.

Position offers a hybrid work-from-home/office schedule; working primarily in the Columbus office and at home within the Columbus metropolitan area.
