This Columbus hybrid or remote location position is compensation grade H3. Candidates must have prior Executive recruiting experience in a corporate environment.

As Senior Consultant, Executive Recruiting, you’ll design and implement recruitment strategies, and conduct end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing and screening top talent, developing and managing diverse talent pipelines and advising business partners on the hiring process from selection through offer. Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advises the development and execution of executive leadership search strategies, both internal and external, to drive the organization’s recruitment capabilities to meet increasing talent demands for executive level and high potential talent.

  • Leads executive level recruiting, screening, interviewing, and selection of Associate Vice President and Vice President level talent. Facilitates the compensation offer process.

  • Leads and influences team to identify and execute recruitment training needs for internal partners. May conduct training on procedures, processes and services provided by the business unit.

  • Ensures adherence to all policies governing the employment process, which includes identification and recommendation of sign-on bonuses to compensate candidates for equity (other forms of compensation) that would be forfeited due to a candidate’s departure from their current employer.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external customers of all levels to identify industry trends and support strategic business and recruiting initiatives.

  • Develops and leads Executive recruitment strategies to address workforce planning needs for business units in partnership with Human Resources professionals and senior management.

  • Assists in defining the communication channel and facilitates communication and integration of services between business unit and recruiting. May serve as a point of contact for the client.

  • Develops positive relationships with external networks for sourcing and referrals.

  • Serves as subject matter authority and mentor to other recruiters, team members and business units on recruitment as needed.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Sr. Associate Vice President, Talent Acquisition. May have the opportunity to manage a team recruiting professionals.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in human resource management, business or related subject preferred.

Experience: Typically, 10 or more years Executive Recruiting experience and progressive human resources management responsibility, including corporate recruiting programs.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proven knowledge of Executive candidate sourcing and professional recruiting practices, and human resource subject areas, e.g., selection, training and development, performance management, employee relations, regulatory compliance, etc. Knowledge of the specialized needs of financial, technical, and insurance industry recruiting preferred. Demonstrated skills in counseling, influencing and strong communication skills. Ability to analyze information and recruiting needs. Ability to achieve common ground with executives. Demonstrated skill in balancing multiple projects on diverse issues. Maintains understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies and standard methodologies. Demonstrated experience using applicant tracking systems.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences, may take precedence.
