This hybrid position is based in Columbus, OH. Candidates located near a Nationwide campus will collaborate in office 2 days per week and enjoy the flexibility of remote work the remaining days. Current Nationwide Remote Associates will also be considered.

About the Role: As a Senior Consultant, Marketing Management (Digital Experience) for our P&C Marketing organization, you will be at the forefront of transforming how we connect with our valued distribution partners on the web. Your mission? Enable seamless, integrated B2B digital journeys and a refined content framework that enhances satisfaction and loyalty among existing distribution partners, while influencing profitable growth and retention goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Champion Personalized Experiences: Activate Nationwide’s value proposition via tailored digital journeys, across a complex digital ecosystem. Apply an outside-in perspective to understand distribution partners' needs and ensure their feedback is incorporated into design improvements.

  • Simplify the Web Experience: Develop strategies to simplify the user journey, reducing complexity and improving overall usability.

  • Drive content strategy: Provide recommendations and direction on the most effective and engaging content, aligned to audience needs and supporting business goals.

  • Innovate and Integrate: Collaborate with marketing, business, and UX and define opportunities to integrate key resources into the agent portal and common agent processes.

  • Monitor and Analyze: Track digital channels and analyze performance metrics to deliver continuous improvement.

  • Shape the Digital Roadmap: Work closely with the Site Management team to align on a digital roadmap that supports marketing and business priorities.

  • Lead Digital Steering Committee meetings: Define a compelling agenda and share key updates with senior marketing leaders that highlight impactful improvements to digital experiences.

As a Senior Consultant, you'll lead the development and execution of marketing strategies using highly advanced marketing principles. You will execute on future business or marketing needs driven by quantitative data/research, competitive insights and/or consumer behaviors. Additionally, we'll count on you to ensure a strong focus on end-to-end customer experience, delivering exceptional customer experience overall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads in the development and execution of strategies and plans that ensure long term sustainable growth of the business. Synthesizes data and uses this understanding to support identification and innovation of business building solutions.

  • Leads sophisticated projects and processes within area of responsibility to deliver results with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.

  • Implements digital and traditional marketing tactics and media, including creative development process, planning, and execution.

  • Leads creative development and provides specific feedback on look and feel and develops strong creative briefs.

  • Monitors emerging innovative trends in content, design and marketing tactics

  • Reviews and analyzes customer insights and analytics and tools to understand and forecast market, competitor and customer needs and behavior. Helps to define appropriate target audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and effectively get results with data-based decisions.

  • Ensures programs are on strategy and on schedule.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director/Associate Vice President/Vice President. This is an individual contributor and may manage a team based on organizational structure; may also lead virtual and project teams.

Typical Skills and Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field; graduate degree highly desirable.

License/Certification/Designation: Technical insurance designations such as CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus. Additional licensing may be required to hold this position and associates will need to acquire the required federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the designated time period. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented. If an associate fails to acquire required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.

Experience: Typically, 10 or more years related professional experience in marketing, field sales management, insurance or related field. Master’s degree may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirements as appropriate. Prior marketing development and project leadership exposure/experience preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies, insurance and/or financial services products including regulatory environment, distribution systems, and customers preferred. Knowledge of product distribution methods. Ability to develop and review research studies, communicate research findings, market recommendations based on findings, develop and negotiate contracts/service agreements with internal/external contacts, and lead multiple projects planning projects. Ability to function independently or in a team environment. Demonstrates core marketing proficiencies, including strategy development, utilization of insights and analytics, building brand equity and developing effective marketing communications. Command of and ability to understand and deliver customer focus, operating capabilities, and strategic capabilities.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Ability to work extended and/or non standard hours based on project load. Travel as required.
