This is a hybrid position located in Columbus Ohio and you will be required to come into the office two days per week.

This Financial Business Advisor role supports the financial planning and analysis for our Corporate Real Estate (CRE) and Aviation team. You will play a key role in CRE planning and will contribute significantly to monthly and quarterly financial planning and analysis processes. This role is also responsible for forecasting capital spend and projects, depreciation, and various related ad-hoc requests.

Technical & Digital Skills

  • Data Translation: You'll use and translate expense data into a concise story to drive conversations and decisions with business partners.
  • Microsoft Suite Proficiency: You'll navigate the Microsoft suite of products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and the Microsoft Power Platform, with ease.
  • Preferred Tools & Upskilling: Experience with Hyperion Essbase / Smart View and Power BI is preferred but not required. You'll have opportunities to learn and master new tools, effectively upskilling yourself and contributing to the team's collective growth and expertise.

As an Advisor, you'll provide financial consultation, planning and analysis for a major business operations (state, product, business unit, etc.). This includes coordinating the development of operational forecasts and budgets and reporting on financial income, loss and expense measures. You'll serve as a key member of leadership team.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Director/Officer. This is an individual contributor role.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in finance, economics, accounting or statistics; advanced degree in financial field is desirable.

License/Certification/Designation: CPA preferred.

Experience: Typically, eight or more years financial experience including financial analysis, planning, forecasting, actuarial or auditing. Insurance industry background desirable. Prefer at least three years project leadership, management or supervisor experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: In-depth knowledge of statistical/financial analysis, financial statement and budget preparation. Knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting practices and insurance/financial services business requirements. Project management concepts and techniques. Prefer familiarity with specific state, product or business unit operations.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
