Job Description Summary

As a Senior Analyst, you’ll oversee and maintain the fund accounting, financial administration, custody and securities lending processes for Nationwide's mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and collective investment trusts. In addition, you’ll provide oversight of key vendors and service providers. We’ll count on you to review accounting and financial reports and reconciliations and manage operational aspects of product launches and modifications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the processing of expense payments and expense accruals.

  • Gathers data to support reporting processes including 15c, financial statement, tax-related and board reporting functions

  • Completes and compiles information to successfully respond to industry surveys and other reports.

  • Monitors and completes accounting control reviews daily.

  • Oversees custody/market entry documentation and reviews securities lending controls.

  • Supports financial reporting, accounting oversight, treasury and trading functions and vendor relationships with supervision.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Leader, IMG Financial Administration. Does not have direct or indirect reports.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.

Experience: Three years of related experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting. Basic mutual fund regulatory and compliance requirements, mutual fund accounting and audit guidelines and mutual fund industry practices and procedures. Familiarity with financial statement preparation and analysis, the principles of taxation, and the related impact of tax on financial statement preparation.

Requires a high level of expertise in relationship building and collaboration, results orientation, written and verbal communications and the ability to take ownership.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resources Business Partner.
