As a Senior Consultant, you’ll provide talent, culture, learning, performance, or other analytics and insights for Human Resources (HR) and the business. You’ll gather, structure, and synthesize complex data sets, apply analytics, and recommend solutions that support decision making and impact positive business results and outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Leads, identifies, develops, and delivers analytic solutions that support Human Resource strategies for the enterprise.

  • Serves as an expert and strategic consultant to executives, business partners, and other key stakeholders on analytic solutions that drive key business decisions and impact business results and outcomes.

  • Applies statistical techniques and data modeling to determine patterns, correlations, and predict future outcomes and trends.

  • Ensures data sets are valid, reliable, and relevant when synthesizing, structuring, and modeling analytics.

  • Identifies business needs for talent, culture, learning, performance, or other data sets and develops and tests hypotheses for proposed actions.

  • Creates compelling visualizations and communicates using appropriate medium for relevant insights, impactful story line, and applicable data.

  • Partners with other business units, such as People Analytics, on larger scale projects.

  • Develops, aligns, and delivers analytic solutions that support strategic objectives, priorities, insights, and decisioning.

  • Provides overall thought leadership around analytics, data, and trends that align to the overall strategic vision of the organization.

  • Educates and influences leaders and partners on emerging analytic modeling, approaches, tools, methodologies, and best practices.

This is a hybrid position located in Columbus, OH.

As a Senior Consultant, you'll lead a team responsible for providing talent analytics and services for Human Resources and business units, including structuring and leading complex, large analyses. Work will include using analytics to improve business outcomes, support decision-making and enable process improvements.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with key partners to build talent analytics priorities and lead talent analytics initiatives.

  • Identifies business needs for selection and development assessments, and builds or acquires processes.

  • Creates, packages and communicates work using appropriate medium for relevant insights, including impactful story line and applicable data visualization

  • Understands, aligns and delivers work that supports strategic objectives and priorities.

  • Provides overall thought leadership around talent analytics data, trends and tools that align to the overall strategic vision of the organization.

  • Educates and influences leaders and partners about emerging approaches, tools and methodologies.

  • Builds, implements and provides consulting support for assessments for acquiring and growing talent and competency frameworks.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Vice President, Organization Effectiveness, and may have the opportunity to lead a team of professionals.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Master's or doctoral degree in industrial/organizational psychology, mathematics, business administration, human resources or related field preferred.

Experience: Typically, 10 or more years of proven experience in field, business problem solving and working with multiple databases. Requires recognized internal/external experience advising key partners. Experience with advanced mathematical modeling techniques using a variety of data sources. Experience building practical solutions using predictive modeling. Previous leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Advanced knowledge of quantitative theories and techniques and role in business context and business applications. Thorough knowledge of relevant statistical/computational techniques. Human resources knowledge strongly desired. Confirmed knowledge of project management concepts and techniques required. Desired solid knowledge of qualitative techniques and behavioral research. Possesses core statistics skills including an understanding of probability and its application to the analysis of data. Able to evaluate sources of variation and identify influential factors/features. Working knowledge of key statistical software and general purpose programming languages. Ability to translate analytic findings into impactful communications and relevant visualizations. Proven experience in structuring, solving and communicating sophisticated business problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt)

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional travel. Extended and non-standard work hours based on project and customer needs.
