As a Transfer Acquisition Specialist, you will drive profitable Personal Lines growth by managing personal lines agency book transfers from evaluation through completion. This results-driven role is a blend of process management and relationship building with success measured by issued personal lines business.
What you’ll do:
Own transfer opportunities end-to-end, ensuring timely execution and delivery
Partner with territory sales managers, agencies, and internal teams to move and close deals
Manage timelines, workflows, and shipments to keep transfers on track
Guide agencies through the process by setting expectations and providing support
Proactively remove barriers and drive accountability for outcomes
Monitor pipeline and progress to achieve transfer goals
Sales & performance expectations:
Drive successful transfer conversion and completion, with a clear focus on outcomes over activity
Partner with sales to accelerate timelines and maximize results
Measured by DWP and PIF issuance and overall transfer success

You'll lead the transfer process and support mergers and acquisitions while driving agency performance. In addition, you'll develop positive relationships and identify new opportunities.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Builds agency relationships. Consults with agents regarding coverage and pricing options for policyholders. Focuses on increasing agency revenue.
Partners with Sales team and assigned agents to extract profitable risk.
Assists with identification of new transfer opportunities and finalizing of transfer deals.
Manages potential transfer deals for agreements ranging from $250K-$750K in direct written premium.
Leads projects to achieve desired business outcomes. Develops timelines; partners with key stakeholders (sales, product, agency, etc.) to meet timing objectives; creates and implements communication plans; conducts agency capacity analysis to effectively manage volume; evaluates agency training needs and coordinates through the sales training organization, works closely with the quoting team to manage policy shipments and quote service level agreements.
Drives transfer results by effectively setting expectations on critical delivery factors such as auto issue utilization, follow-ups on missed opportunities, adjusting coverage's, and adding discounts to drive competitiveness. Provides timely evaluation of results and action planning to address transfer barriers.
Provides support in issuing signed re-marketing agreement accounts.
Responsible for assigned agent relationships, maximizing competitor insights in marketing Nationwide products/services.
May assist in special projects with key agencies.
Maintains strong knowledge of Sales strategy, including goals and objectives to achieve profit and growth.
Conducts program and product orientation meetings in conjunction with the sales team.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager or Director; individual contributor role.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate degree in business administration, insurance, risk management, economics or finance preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Pursuit of technical insurance designations such as CPCU, CLU or equivalent insurance education preferred.
Experience: Typically, two years of experience in insurance, underwriting, sales or services preferred.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Confirmed knowledge of sales programs, policies and processes relevant to the management of an independent agency distribution system. Requires solid understanding of general management practices and organizational structure. Strong organizational and administrative skills; interpersonal, leadership and relationship skills; analytical and project management skills. Requires solid understanding of insurance company operations including technology, financial analysis, and quality/training initiatives. Demonstrated decision-making skills, including the ability to recognize, analyze and improve operational performance, financial performance. Can effectively manage ambiguity. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of internal and external contacts, resolution and presentation skills.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
