Position Summary

The Sr Consultant, Delivery Leader is a senior delivery leadership role within Cyber Platform Services responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of large, complex workstreams across cybersecurity platforms, services, and enabling capabilities. This role partners closely with CPS leaders, product owners, architects, and business and technology stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and resilient outcomes that protect Nationwide’s critical assets and support business growth.

This leader operates across a diverse cyber platform environment that includes cloud security engineering, data and platform security, identity and access management, customer identity governance services, data management and governance, and cybersecurity edge capabilities. The role requires strong executive presence, clear written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and the ability to lead through changing priorities, cross-functional dependencies, operational complexity, and high-visibility reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of assigned workstreams across Cyber Platform Services products, platforms, and strategic initiatives.

  • Partner with CPS leaders, product owners, architects, and business or technology stakeholders to deliver expected business outcomes tied to each workstream.

  • Drive execution across cyber platform domains such as cloud security, identity and access management, customer identity governance, data and platform security, data governance, and cybersecurity edge services.

  • Manage 30/60/90 day commitments, milestones, dependencies, and coordination across cross-functional teams supporting security platform delivery and operational outcomes.

  • Track, communicate, and drive mitigation of risks, issues, scope changes, decisions, and action items, including dependencies that impact security posture, platform resiliency, compliance, or delivery timing.

  • Lead status, health, financial, and value-delivery reporting for key stakeholders, including KPI and OKR-oriented reporting where appropriate.

  • Support executive messaging, portfolio health tracking, and operational reviews in close partnership with CPS leadership and S&I strategy and planning leaders.

  • Coordinate delivery across product, engineering, operations, architecture, and vendor teams to improve adoption, stability, and maturity of cyber platforms and services.

  • Help align delivery plans to broader CPS priorities, including platform modernization, service resiliency, risk reduction, and scalable product-oriented ways of working.

  • Manage vendor relationships and provide oversight for contract negotiations, statement of work development, forecasting, invoicing, and escalation management for CPS-aligned services and platforms.

  • Manage and consult on workstream financials, with strong business and financial acumen related to budgets, forecasts, delivery tradeoffs, and value realization.

  • Help standardize delivery practices and tool usage, including Jira-based workflow, dashboards, delivery health reporting, and project-to-product operating models.

  • Provide thought leadership, mentorship, and capability uplift across the delivery organization, not only within an assigned effort.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading large or highly complex delivery efforts with multiple workstreams, significant stakeholder coordination, and executive-level visibility.

  • Strong executive presence and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to understand strategy, translate it into execution, and manage changing priorities across complex team structures.

  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, infrastructure, platform, or enterprise technology delivery efforts, ideally in one or more areas such as cloud security, IAM, data protection, platform security, or edge security.

  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with delivery financials, forecasting, budgeting, business case support, or related oversight.

  • Experience with vendor management, including contracts, statements of work, escalations, renewals, and invoice or forecast oversight.

  • Experience using core delivery tools and practices such as Jira, dashboards, dependency management, and delivery health reporting; familiarity with Planview or similar portfolio tooling is beneficial.

  • Demonstrated strength in iterative delivery, process improvement, and helping teams mature toward product-oriented delivery models.

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments while maintaining accountability, momentum, and strong stakeholder alignment.

Success Profile

The strongest person in this role is highly driven, strategic, and comfortable operating in ambiguity. They are able to hold teams accountable while building trust and strong working relationships across leadership, product, engineering, and partner teams. They are credible with senior leaders, effective in executive-level reporting, and able to balance delivery execution, financial oversight, vendor coordination, organizational improvement, and the unique demands of cyber platform delivery.
