Build the Path Forward

At Path Robotics, we’re building the future of embodied intelligence. Our AI-driven systems enable robots to adapt, learn, and perform in the real world closing the skilled labor gap and transforming industries. We go beyond traditional methods, combining perception, reasoning, and control to deliver field-ready AI that is risk-aware, reliable, and continuously improving through real-world use.

Big, hard problems are our everyday work, and our team of intelligent, humble, and driven people make the impossible possible together.

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help scale the software systems powering next-generation manufacturing. This role is deeply hands-on in backend development, system design, and production operations. You will build, ship, and support software that runs in real-world industrial environments, partnering closely with our application services team to ensure reliability, performance, and rapid iteration.

If you enjoy writing production-grade software, owning systems end-to-end, and improving how software is built and deployed, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain based backend services that support manufacturing operations and internal tooling
  • Build microservice-oriented applications with clear APIs, reliability, and scalability in mind
  • Own services from development through deployment and long-term production support
  • Own production environments, including diagnosing and resolving issues related to performance, availability, and correctness
  • Design and standardize observability patterns (logs, metrics, traces) for teams to understand system health and failures
  • Proactively identify failure modes and implement resilient designs
  • Design and evolve CI/CD and deployment pipelines that improve developer velocity while increasing release safety and repeatability
  • Automate repetitive workflows and operational tasks through code

  • Implement automated testing (unit, integration, and performance) to ensure confidence in production releases
  • Participate in code reviews, setting a high bar for readability, maintainability, and correctness
  • Partner closely with application engineers and operations stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions
  • Establish and codify best practices through reusable patterns and tooling that teams naturally adopt
  • Contribute to architectural discussions with application teams, ensuring deployment and operability concerns are designed in from the start

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience building and supporting production software systems
  • Strong experience operating and evolving production systems, including deployments, upgrades and failure recovery
  • Hands-on experience deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience operating software in AWS-based production environments
  • Proficient with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfortable debugging complex, distributed systems in production
  • Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code concepts
  • Strong understanding of software reliability, testing, and system performance
  • You’re comfortable working in ambiguous environments and solving real-world problems with pragmatic solutions

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Free lunch every day
  • Flexible PTO
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 6 weeks 100% paid parental leave plus an additional 6-8 weeks maternity leave for the birthing parent (12-14 weeks total)
  • 401K through Empower
  • Paid Referral Bonus
