Salary Range: $87,000 - $130,000
● At least four years of experience in IAM engineering or similar role, with a
background in information security or risk.
● Proficiency in common IAM protocols, standards, and technologies such as
SAML, OIDC, OAuth, and SCIM.
● In-depth experience with Okta or similar cloud-based identity and SSO platforms
and solutions.
● Significant experience with designing, implementing and supporting identity and
access management approaches such as attribute based access control (ABAC),
role-based access control (RBAC) and privileged access management (PAM).
● Proficiency in identifying Information Security/IAM risks, communicating those
issues to the appropriate stakeholders, and working with distributed teams on
mitigations
● Demonstrable experience balancing strategic improvement and
operational/maintenance work, and communicating value and tradeoffs for both
● Proficiency in implementing IAM solution automation and workflows to reduce
operational overhead and risk
● Familiarity with access related aspects of compliance requirements/frameworks
such as SOX, PCI, and NIST.
What You Will Need to Succeed
●You will help build a secure and scalable identity platform that allows the IAM
function at Root to enable and support the organization.
●You will be able to participate in reviews of IAM systems, processes, and
implementations, and be able to develop novel solutions to the identification and
mitigation of associated risks.
● You will get to work with other IAM engineers and leaders to help shape
roadmaps and plans that improve Root’s IAM posture in meaningful ways.
