What You Will Do
- Supports new physician and staff research orientation and assists with consultations throughout the UH System. Helps develop and implement responsible conduct of research educational materials to supports the research community and develops and provides tools to aid in the appropriate conduct of research that is compliant with federal regulations, local policy and GCP guidelines. (20%)
- Assists in the promotion of research across the UH system to ensure that every physician, provider, staff and patient has access and opportunity to learn about or participate in a clinical research study. Ensure that ambulatory sites and community hospitals have access to research opportunities close to home for their patients. (20%)
- Supports the implementation of community engagement, marketing and recruitment strategies for research and for study teams to support protocol specific goals. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system-wide continuity in DE&I, policy and advocacy efforts. (20%)
- Assists physicians, researchers and trainees in the development of new research projects and programs throughout the UH system. Promotes and engages physicians, staff and patients currently not involved in or informed about research. (10%)
- Participate in or lead Committee Meetings and serve as Liaison for CTSC grant (10%)
- Maintains current information regarding federal regulations, ethical considerations and UH CMC IRB and UH research polices related to the protection of human research participants and identifies opportunities for quality improvement. (10%)
- Export and analyze data as needed to support the business functions of the team. (10%)
Additional Responsibilities

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Advance degree (Preferred) and
- CCRP and/or ACRP Certification highly preferred
Work Experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience. (Required)
- 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of advanced degree (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, fluency with Adobe Creative Suite (Required proficiency)
- Database experience, including REDCap or willingness to learn (Required proficiency)

- This person must have strong written and verbal communication skills, understand the value of design and brand within a business context, be motivated to enhance external visual brand via website and social media. (Required proficiency)
- Communicates the value of UH CRC through daily interactions as well as deliverables and final work product. (Required proficiency)
- Curiosity about and/or knowledge of emerging trends and models in DE&I, social determinants of health, value-based healthcare, community and economic development, and how each intersects with clinical research. (Required proficiency)
- Comfortable communicating to all level employees and patients while presenting themselves as knowledgeable and professional. (Required proficiency)
- Organizational and project management sills, exceptional research, writing, analysis, presentation and event planning skills. (Required proficiency)
- Support the needs of the team by communicating and tracking progress of his/her initiatives. (Required proficiency)
- Provides clear plan of work, including how she/he will prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and achieve the goals for each project. (Required proficiency)
