Location & Flexibility
The Scrum Master role is an integral part of our team at TELUS Digital. To help retain our deep culture of collaboration both among ourselves and our stakeholders, this role will maintain an in-office presence in a hybrid capacity (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) at either our Charlottesville, VA, Columbus, OH, or Durham, NC office.
The Opportunity
As a Scrum Master, you'll lead passionate makers in crafting innovative digital experiences that solve complex customer challenges. You'll have the opportunity to shape our culture of curiosity, drive Agile excellence, and make a tangible impact on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of digital product development.
The Scrum Master position is a future opening - this position is anticipated to begin interviews in Q2 2025.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of products or services to clients using Agile methodologies, particularly the Scrum framework.
- Foster team communication and collaboration to enhance productivity.
- Identify and remove impediments early, actively working to resolve issues and escalating when necessary.
- Maintain project management tools and create reports to track progress.
- Act as a coach, facilitator, and diplomat for the development team.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure value delivery to customers.
- Lead Agile delivery teams, focusing on both team and overall project success.
- Conduct Scrum events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Bridge the gap between the development team and other departments or stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Agile leadership roles (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Release Train Engineer, or Technical/Program Manager)
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience in project management and delivery
- Ability to coach and mentor team members
Bonus Points
- Certified ScrumMaster and/or Certified Scrum Professional

Individual base salaries are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons determined during the interview process. Salary bands are periodically reviewed and updated based on market changes, internal needs, and industry trends. To drive ongoing pay equity for team members, TELUS Digital conducts regular compensation audits. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base annual salary only, and do not include bonus.
This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus based on personal, division/business unit, and company performance. To maintain equity across the business, annual performance bonus targets are determined by job level, not individual circumstances.
