Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced Full-Time Bookkeeper to join Arvo Advisors, our accounting division and provide bookkeeping services for a portfolio of professional services clients. With approximately 80 employees, our firm delivers high-quality outsourced accounting solutions, and this role is critical to ensuring accurate client financial records, strong internal controls, and timely financial reporting.
The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, working closely with internal accounting teams and external client contacts. This position is focused exclusively on bookkeeping and accounting services for clients (no internal HR, billing, or office management duties).
Key Responsibilities
Client Bookkeeping & Accounting Services
Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts for multiple client entities
Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Process and post vendor bills, customer invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reports
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
Prepare and post journal entries as needed
Maintain supporting documentation for all financial transactions
Process payroll and maintain payroll records
Prepare financial reports and assist with month end close
Administrative & Process Improvement
Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
Improve and document bookkeeping processes and internal controls
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks preferred, Xero, or similar) ideal
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Experience with payroll processing and sales tax filings
Familiarity with budgeting and financial forecasting
