This is a high-impact role responsible for delivering accurate, fast, and competitive insurance quotes to customers through a modern, scalable architecture. You’ll partner closely with engineering, carrier management, operations, and compliance to continuously improve speed-to-quote, quote accuracy, and quote conversion.
This role is required to be based out of the Eastern Time Zone.
Responsibilities
- Create a strong product vision and the corresponding product roadmap, prioritizing work across pricing accuracy, quote speed, and coverage mapping
- Lead cross-functional teams through discovery, delivery, and iteration of quoting-related features and APIs.
- Create product requirements and work with engineering to drive technical execution
- Work with carrier partners and internal teams to implement and optimize rating logic, underwriting rules, and eligibility workflows.
- Write and run SQL queries to analyze quoting behavior, identify performance bottlenecks, and measure impact of changes.
- Define and track success metrics for quoting efficiency, quote-to-bind conversion, and carrier competitiveness.
- Serve as the product expert on comparative rating and drive continuous innovation across our insurance marketplace.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Ability to lead a Scrum team with remote engineering, product and design members
- A track record of delivering successful products and features
- SQL skills: comfortable independently querying large datasets to support product decisions.
- A strong systems thinker with experience working on API-first platforms or backend-heavy products.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — clear, concise, and collaborative.
Nice to have skills
- Startup experience
- Experience with comparative raters, insurance quoting systems, or related pricing engines (P&C insurance experience strongly preferred).
- Experience integrating with carrier APIs, policy administration systems, or quoting platforms.
- Knowledge of insurance compliance, underwriting, or rating methodologies.
- Technical background or comfort working closely with engineers on complex system architecture.
