As Pricing and Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing pricing strategies, financial modeling, and data-driven insights to support business growth and funding. This role oversees Project Controllers and is accountable for pricing and team utilization, ensuring resources are optimized for efficiency and financial sustainability. The position requires close collaboration with business development, finance, program managers, contracting, and operations to drive strategic pricing decisions and maximize financial performance. a trusted partner to our leadership team—managing key logistics, coordinating communications, and keeping priorities aligned. You’ll support high-level initiatives that drive our mission forward while creating clarity in the details. In This Role, You Will: Pricing Strategy & Execution (40%) - Advise leadership on key business metrics, risks, and strategic pricing decisions.
- Develop and implement pricing models that align with market trends, competitive positioning, and funding strategies.
- Conduct cost, price, and business analyses, including sensitivity analyses, to assess the impact of various factors on pricing scenarios.
- Lead pricing development for proposals, including cost models, pricing schedules, and cost volumes in response to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, particularly in government contracting and industry-specific pricing structures.
- Work cross-functionally with business development, finance, and program teams to establish competitive and sustainable pricing frameworks.
- Monitor pricing trends and market shifts, providing recommendations to maintain competitiveness and financial sustainability.
- Support contract negotiations by providing financial and pricing analysis.
- Continuously improve pricing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Project Controller & Team Utilization Management (30%):
- Oversee and manage Project Controllers, ensuring accurate tracking of project costs, revenue, and funding.
- Monitor and optimize team utilization, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to maximize efficiency and financial sustainability.
- Develop metrics and reporting tools to track utilization trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with finance, business development, contracts, and program teams to align pricing strategies with funding objectives.
- Work closely with leadership to align pricing and resource allocation strategies with business objectives.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting (20%):
- Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support pricing decisions and business planning.
- Develop forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights into pricing effectiveness and funding allocation by product, customer segment, and market.
- Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards to communicate key findings and recommendations.
- Research industry benchmarks and competitor pricing strategies to inform decision-making.
- Evaluate customer funding and lifetime value to align pricing with organizational goals.
- Identify and recommend pricing and cost optimization opportunities.
We’re Looking for Someone Who: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or a related field, with experience managing project financials and team utilization.
- Experience leading or managing Project Controllers or similar financial oversight roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
Furthermore, do you have, or want to develop these skills - Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint and pricing software.
- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.
