Position Summary
We are seeking a Business Development Proposal Coordinator to play a key role in driving Parallax’s growth by supporting business development initiatives and managing the proposal development process from start to finish. This role blends administrative coordination, proposal management, and communications support to ensure seamless execution of strategic growth objectives and high-quality, compliant submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development Administration

  • Track outreach campaigns, industry events, and client engagement activities.

  • Maintain CRM records, track opportunities, and generate leadership reports.

  • Support BD leadership with scheduling, travel, and meeting coordination.

  • Monitor SAM.gov and other platforms for relevant solicitations; organize and post files.

  • Manage B&P charge codes, update SharePoint sites, and coordinate partner access/training.

  • Process purchase requests for agreements, memberships, and software renewals.

  • Serve as liaison between BD and APEX teams for opportunity tracking and compliance.

Proposal Coordination & Support

  • Manage all phases of proposal development: kickoff, content collection, formatting, compliance checks, and final submission.

  • Maintain proposal schedules, templates, past performance materials, and content libraries.

  • Coordinate internal reviews, consolidate feedback, and ensure timely, compliant submissions.

  • Assist with post-submission activities including debriefs and CRM updates.

Communications & Publishing

  • Draft and edit client-facing materials, marketing collateral, and internal updates.

  • Create visuals, charts, and formatted documents using Microsoft Office and Adobe tools.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet branding and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, communications, or related field.

  • 2–5 years’ experience in business development, proposals, executive support, or marketing coordination.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems.

  • Strong communication, editing, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Experience in government contracting or technical proposals.

  • Familiarity with Shipley methods or APMP certification.

  • Prior experience supporting executives or working in matrixed organizations.

  • Ability to obtain DoD security clearance (Secret or higher preferred).

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based; occasional travel (<5%).

  • Ability to sit for long periods, use office equipment, and maintain clear vision and hearing for meetings.

  • Some walking, reaching, or lifting of light objects may be required.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
