In 2023, the 501(c)(3) private nonprofit research institute Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI) became wholly affiliated with Parallax, expanding our organization's services to include space and aerospace advanced technology research and development and workforce development. As a Software Design Engineer, you will be working with other software developers and researchers, The Program Manager, and the Director of Unmanned Systems Research and Parallax clients. When working with your team, you will provide software research and development based on project needs in support of the Air Force. The Software Developer's purpose is to ensure and execute quality software tools and utilities as directed by the customer. The Software Developer will work with a team of varying sizes to create software programs utilizing varying techniques, tools, and computer languages depending on the current directed needs of the customer. The Software Developer will update the software and conduct quality control functions. In this position, you will be developing software and conducting research and development, as well as providing support for the Remotely Piloted Aircraft team.
