| POSITION SUMMARY The Parallax Advanced Research Mission is to deliver innovative research and provide technology, human and business solutions via The Science of Intelligent Teaming™ for government, industry and academic clients with critical challenges. PURPOSE: The Parallax Business Development Intern supports the organization’s growth efforts by assisting with market research, opportunity tracking, capture activities, and proposal preparation for Department of Defense (DoD) and federal/state government contracts. This role provides hands-on exposure to government contracting, federal acquisition processes, and BD pipelines in a fast-paced defense environment. This position will be responsible for assisting the BD Team and Parallax staff with a variety of responsibilities listed below. As a student employee at Parallax, you are eligible to work up to 28 hours per week, with an hourly rate pay. In this position, you are also qualified for both Roth post-tax 401(K) and/or pre-tax with a generous monthly company match. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: • Conduct research on DoD agencies, programs, budgets, and competitors to support BD strategy and capture planning. • Review and track opportunities through government portals (SAM.gov, eBuy, DIBBS, etc.) and internal pipeline tools. • Assist with organizing and maintaining BD pipelines, reports, and weekly activity summaries. • Support capture managers with development of customer profiles, win themes, discriminators, and solution research. • Assist proposal teams with writing tasks, data collection, compliance checks, formatting, and document preparation. • Help prepare briefing materials, capability statements, and presentation content for internal and customer meetings. • Participate in internal meetings related to BD, capture, proposals, and program reviews. • Support meeting scheduling, note-taking, and follow-up actions for BD and capture efforts. • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the growth organization. • Collaborate across engineering, operations, contracts, pricing, security, and HR teams as needed. • .Other office tasks as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES): • U.S. Citizenship is required and ability to work on-site at Parallax-HQ in Beavercreek •.High school education and active pursuit of an associate or bachelor's degree. • Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills. • Ability to synthesize information and present it clearly. • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
