The Role
Veeva is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Partner to join our team. As a part of this position, you will be required to support the business by working closely with internal and external business partners to build and maintain an efficient purchasing process to fit the organization’s unique purchasing needs. This role requires the willingness to work cross-functionally with all departments throughout the organization to drive overall process improvements that promote scalability. A successful candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment and views customer success as the number one priority.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain a sustainable purchasing process unique to Veeva
  • Work closely with business partners to help improve the overall purchasing process, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Establish business partnerships that foster collaboration across a global organization
  • Prepare reporting to strategically drive decisions and process improvements
  • Manage vendor onboarding process
  • Partner with the legal department to ensure contractual obligations are in line with the organization’s standards
  • Manage purchase requisitions to ensure alignment with vendor contracts
  • Develop and maintain a consolidated active vendor list to meet current and future purchasing needs
  • Train employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing role or 3+ years of experience in a Purchasing Manager or Sr. Purchasing role
  • Advanced understanding of purchase to pay process and business partner impact
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and business partners
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills with particular emphasis on collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality

Compensation

  • Base pay: $65,000 - $110,000
  • The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
